Hawthorne II Homeowners’ Association Meeting Minutes 
June 9, 2021 

Board Member Attendance 

Don Read, Mark Clauss, Tim Moore, Don Sutton, Jeff “CC” Biggs

Meet at Bridge (6:15) 

Review the condition of existing bridge – discussed and will ask Joe Bierbaum for options and costs to replace 

Go back to Mark’s house to resume meeting (6:30ish) 

Replace HOA Board Member (Tim Moore with Cherilyn Sytar) – motion was presented and passed 4-0 to accept Tim’s resignation and add Cherilyn to the board. 

Capital Improvements (per annual meeting) 

Fountain update – Bill Hancock determined pump needs repaired or replaced. Replacing comes with 3-year warranty and only twice the cost to repair so going with new pump. 

Plan and initiate upgrades needed from the Dam Assessment 

Inlet Repairs – on pause 

Landscaping (lake, berm, entrances) 

Replacing trees with bushes (nicely landscaped areas)- no activity. 

Trees at entrance on Woodbine – waiting to hear from city. 

Geese Deterrent – appears to be working, will continue to monitor. 

Maintenance 

Barking Dogs – seems to have improved. 

Parking of boats, trailers, etc. – a trailer re-appearing on Weaver Ct was addressed 

Foam in the fountain - resolved 

Hole on south side of Lake’s apron – repair completed. 

Home improvements – discuss how best to manage neighbor expectations 

• Approved 2 Weaver Backyard pool and landscaping 
• Worthington Backyard pool, landscaping, and fence 
• H Acres new home plan 
• Need to update Acres Covenants 

Financials 

Review Budget and expenses – good shape for the year 

Dues Progress – only 3 outstanding payments 

Next meeting is on July 14th
